Yves Chaland und Comic Reddition

This is really a funny story. In June 1986, during the Comic-Salon of Erlangen, Chaland and Isabelle were invited as guests of Reiner-Feest-Verlag. I was aware of their (first) visit in Germany, but think they are arriving on Saturday. On Friday, I met them (and her daughter Samantha, then just a Baby) surprisingly in an exhibition of Manfred Deix, a well-known austrian artist. Because I was so busy at this moment but wanting a dedication sooo much, Chaland was so nice to sign the only piece of paper I got: An copy of our issue 9, recently published for the Comic-Salon. I met Chaland the next day at Reiner-Feest-Verlag again, and we are talking some minutes and he was drawing me a really nice item ...

okayokayokay ... I will scan this one and post it this evening ... I got also a nice dedicace in my copy of the german "Adolphus Claar"-album. Where have I post a scan of this one ... Here or in the related sub-forum?

I posted my dedicace of "Adolphus Claar" in the related forum, but will send my special drawing of Chaland into this thread. It has a nice and somewhat strange story: I met Yves Chaland and his wife Isabelle at the german comic convention called Comic-Salon Erlangen (http://www.comic-salon.de/) in June, 1986. As a huge fan of Chaland and his work I would die of getting a picture of Spirou from his hands. But Chaland don`t want to draw this popular figure for me, and we had a little discussion. I don't know at this time that he has buried the plans to finish "Cœurs d´Acier", "Moustic Journal" and "Le groom vert-de-gris" yet and was a little angry when talking about Spirou and Dupuis. But my dream come true to get a picture "like the album-cover of Spirou contre l’invisible in Le Jeune Albert", when Chaland make it a little tricky and set Spirou in the background and draw me an amazing Fantasio.



Unfortenately, he don' t use a very cheap pencil for the outlines, and the black ink has turning into a somewhat special brown. But this does make it much more atmospheric, doesn't it ?

It's avery nice drawing !!!! what a lucky fan you are !!!! .... did it into an album ?
