Checking a date (2001 ?)
Dear Geert,
Thank you very much for your scans of the PUBs La Grande Forme de la Fête 1983 and 1984 and all other Club members as well for that matter.
I do have a question about those 1983 and 1984 scans. I take it they were taken from a flyer (dépliant) since you mention not to be able to put the poster through the machine (which I would not recommend even to try eigther
).
I am asking since on subjects like this PUB, it is hard to tell from pictures only, what we are dealing with. It could very well be the poster big or small (affiche/affichette), the flyer, a press release, etc. ?
Anyway, I have recently purchased another one, at least not yet shown in this chat, which is dated Dimanche, 23 Septembre, but no year is shown front - nor back side ...
So I worked my way back in time on calenders hoping to find a matching day/date and found the year 2001 has to it.
Anyone who is able to confirm this ?
... What I am talking about ? ...
Oh, sorry ... I will include a picture below (a bad one I'm sorry to say)

Sort: Affair publicitaire, Dépliant
Format: A4, folded (in three-fold)
Colour: Colour print both sides
Info:
- Date: Dimanche 23 Septembre
- Year: ? Most probably 2001
- Almost identical to the 1983 flyer except for a few photographs and the map
Anyone who can confirm the year to be 2001 ?

no idea about the year of (re)print but anyway we will find ... maybe Patimbert (the great expert in pubs affair) have the answer ....

Nope, it is not from 2007, as I bought is before the 23rd of September.
So I am still puzzled about the year - 2001 still is my best guess ???
I like to add some more riddles to the forum if you do not mind. My best guess it is an affiche and as it is not yet published on this forum I include the only picture I have. It dates back to 1983 and maybe has been part of the "dossier de presse" which included to the best of my knowledge an envelop (logo in monotype), a flyer, a journal, a tract, a poster large format (120 x 175 cm, offset), a logo and a carton de vernissage all by Grey Bayard Presse SA.

I repeat what I once red about it as an description:
The envelop I have in my collection somewhere, sorry I have no picture though.

Where are they ?
The riddles you mean ? Well I was referring to these two publications I posted above and about which I do not know much (except what I wrote). So I was hoping
one of you could enlighten me - tell more about those two affaires publicitaires pictures ...

I guess it is not Chaland who doesn't work hard, it is the principal (Fête de la Forme ?) whom doesn't want to pay much and reuses the one drawing over and over again !
Hi Rubble,
Is this the one you are looking for in your cave ?

Size: 30 x 40 cm
And there is more: a flyer (a A4 folded, A3 format, color print)

"Dossier Complet d'Information"
Size: 27 x 41,2 / 20,6 cm
Does it have a back side as well ? Yes with a map and lots of interesting info about how to prepare for a journey like this, how to decide to go by foot or bike, etc.

An important distinction indeed Rubble,
However you might refer to another poster (affiche), The one I showed is a 'small' poster (affichette ?) as you can see by the size I mentioned (30 x 40 cm). The one you might have is the large one: 120 x 180 cm, of which I only have a bad photographh.

In the right hand corner down below, you can spot part of the logo TF1 you refer to.

no, I've got the 30/40 one, large enough for me.
Ahahhh, we do have two editions of the same print on our hands it appears. How nice for collectors to know.
It is not unusual to have an exchange text option in such a print. Specially in case of PUB's, in which sometimes a variety of sponsors can be included or late ones to hop-in in the campaign can be added, however not often seen though.
Thanks for checking Rubble and for your sharp observation. Another item to be added to the collection

I couldn't agree more with you both, however that's also what collecting makes such great fun.
And if not difficult enough, pirated editions show up every now and then as well. Also in case of this "Grande Fête de la Forme" dessin, reproduced so often for such a long time by now.
Again a low quality printed carte postale by Éditions Jacquemin à Puzieux. It has been put on e-Bay by 'consigliofoot' (pseudo) residing Saint-André, provence Alpes Cô d'Azur, back in 2004.

Sorry E10 but I say that because day by day my list is more and more empty !!!! I' m agree with you
I have got the picture Geert. I had a feeling that was the case anyway ... and let's face it; it's the items we have collected and which we can look at every now and then, the items that give joy to see and read Chaland made - not the ones we haven't got (yet
)
Having written that, what about this one not shown in this Forum

Size 30 x 40 cm
