Hi everybody.

After checking the internet for informations about Yves Chaland and his oeuvre, I found your very (!) interesting forum. I don`t know exactly the dates of the last postings here (because there is no year mentioned in the threads...?) but hoping that you are actually take a look on this.

I am the publisher of a small german magazine about Comics called "Reddition" (http://www.reddition.de), and after more than 15 years of absence, we will rework our dossiers about Chaland and his work in our next issue 47. We made articles about him in issue 12 (April 1988; http://www.reddition.de/redd12.htm) and 17 (February 1991;http://www.reddition.de/redd17.htm). The last was written by Andreas Stein, the famous publisher of the silkscreen-print "Valse de Saisons" in 1989. Since we met Chaland back in the 1980ies and are hugh fans of his Comics, I think we have some nice stories about and some rare material of him. So I'll be very pleased to get connection to everybody in this forum and change them.

I will first explain the mystery about this german publication called "U-Comix". Since 1987, this publication prints the stories of Jeune Albert in chronological order until 1990. The issues are 77 to 117, and the stories are printed also in the Benday-technic in beautiful color. The samples you have shown here are bundles of the original magazines. The same editor published the magazine "Schwermetall" (Métal Hurlant), in which very early (from 1982 on) are shown most of the Chaland- and Cornillon-stories from Captivant.

I hope I can get you some useful informations and I'm looking forward to read from yours ...

No, it will be out in May this year. I have contacted Didier Pasamonik and Isabelle Beamenay-Joannet yet, and Isabelle has promised me support and little help with our work.

Oh yes, some of the old issues are hard to find, because the print run isn't high.

Really, I find out this for my own. I have purchase some very useful informations concerning the publication history of Chalands work. I am working at his complete bibliography at this time. Perhaps I may ask you some details?

Bedankt voor je hartelijke woorden. Ik spreek (nee, schrijf maar) een betje nederlands. Ik lees belgian strips vanaf 1984 meest in nederlands ...
